National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) check current status

The Nassau County Auxiliary Police is looking for concerned residents between the ages of eighteen and sixty to assist the Nassau County Police Department in protecting our communities. Nassau Residents must meet the following qualifications to become a member of the department. 

Applicants Must Be
Ÿ A United States citizen
Ÿ A resident of Nassau County
Ÿ Of good moral character
Ÿ Between the ages of eighteen and sixty

Applicants Must Also Posses
Ÿ No record of a misdemeanor or felony
Ÿ A valid New York State driver license
Ÿ A high school diploma or GED

Applicants Must Be Willing To
Ÿ Submit to fingerprinting
Ÿ Have their background investigated by the Applicant Investigation Unit of the Nassau County Police
Ÿ Submit to a drug test
Ÿ Submit to a psychological examination
Ÿ Submit to a physical exam conducted by the Nassau County Police Department Surgeons Office

Applicants Must Be Able To Donate A Minimum Of Twelve Hours Per Month
